RX 5 Spectrometer
RX 5 Spectrometer
New-Sense Geophysics integrates the Radiation Solutions’ RSX-5 spectrometer for gamma ray detection on surveys. Deployed on both our helicopter and fixed-wing platforms, these spectrometers set the industry standard for detecting and measuring low-level radiation from both natural and man-made sources.
Key Features of Radiation Solutions Spectrometers at New-Sense Geophysics:
- Single and Multi-Pack Configurations: The RSX-5 spectrometer can be seamlessly configured in both single and multi-pack setups, allowing for increased measurement volume as project requirements dictate.
- Pre-flight Checks and Daily Logs: Ensuring reliability and consistency is paramount. Before each flight and daily, all spectrometers undergo rigorous checks, and detailed logs are generated. Calibration logs, a testament to our commitment to transparency, are readily available and presented to our clients.
- Advanced Digital Spectrometer (ADS): The RSX-5 is a fully integrated system, incorporating an individual Advanced Digital Spectrometer (ADS) for each crystal within the detector box. The RSX-5, with a 1024-channel gamma spectrometer in a 5-crystal configuration, elevates spectral data performance to laboratory levels, previously unachievable on airborne platforms.
- Gold Standard in Airborne Instrumentation: The RSX-5 series is renowned as the “Gold Standard” in airborne instrumentation for radiometric surveying. Its ability to detect and measure low-level radiation under diverse conditions, from remote areas to extreme weather, ensures reliable data collection even on limited flight budgets.
- Laboratory-Level Spectral Data Performance: Advanced technology and software techniques employed in the RSX-5 spectrometers provide laboratory-level spectral data performance. This innovation results in a more stable operation with minimal drift, ultimately enhancing the quality and accuracy of radiometric survey data.
- Stable Operation and Better Data: The advanced features of the RSX-5 series contribute to a stable operation with less drift, delivering superior data quality. This technology ensures that radiometric survey data is collected accurately the first time, regardless of environmental challenges.
